As I am sure you are aware, we in Virginia suffered a terrible tragedy. Yesterday, over 30 people were killed by the hand of an individual who was influenced by evil forces.
Please pray for the families who have suffered loss, for the wounded, for friends, for the administration and faculty of VA Tech.
In my devotion this morning (Every Day Light), Selwyn Hughes encourages Christians to “apply the principle of looking for good in everything bad.” On the surface that is difficult to do in this situation but I am sure God has a plan. Pray that God will use this tragedy for His purposes, whatever they might be.
Blessings to each of you!
Thank you, Beckie for sharing. I heard about what had happened on my way home last night. I prayed right there in my car…God will use it for His good…Maybe they will allow the Ten Commandments back in public places–or prayer in school…Much love from AZ to Virginia.
I’ve been praying a lot since the moment I learned of it. I’ve prayed for the victims and their families and loved ones and I’ve said more than one prayer for the poor public servants who had to call those loved ones. I can’t imagine having to make those phone calls. But my very first prayer was offered up for the poor lost soul of the young man who caused all this sorrow.
Beckie, thank you for sharing this picture. I had not seen it before now.If you have a moment, may I ask please if you can drop by to read my blog post regarding the event? I’m hoping we can link together a virtual prayer circle regarding the victims & injured. Thank you.Hugs & Prayers,Bonnie
That’s a tragedy indeed. And yes, our God is so GREAT that He alone can find something to glorify Himself and bring others to know Him through this horrific incident.
I’ve been thinking of you, my dear friend in Virginia. I do believe that something good will come out of this. I pray more people will turn to Christ for answers.
I pray, too, that God will use this tragedy to bring about good in some way. It’s a horrible thing for sure. Hugs.:-) Susan
Have been and will continue to pray for you all. Great pic! Our God longs for us to turn to him in times like this.
I have 2 brothers who attend VT and they were both okay. But, it really hit close to home for me. You might be interested in this site about having a blog day of silence. http://www.onedayblogsilence.com/OneDayBlogSilence.com.html
