My head is still spinning. Getting ready for a wedding and a baby can wear out a person. The weekend is almost a blur and it’s only Tuesday.
Last Thursday we got the wedding dress. Get this…it was the second dress she tried on and it was on sale! Yipeeeee.
Saturday Hubby and I went to a neighborhood yard sale (it was a VERY swanky neighborhood too) and got a stroller with a lift out car seat. I’d never seen that kind before but then I haven’t been looking at much baby stuff for quite a few years. That afternoon the girls and I went looking for Rachel’s shoes and a dress for me and Colleen (sister of the bride). We found one for me and it was on sale! Yipeeeee again! That night we had been invited to dinner with friends. When we got home the girls just wanted to talk.
Sunday was church and then dinner at Hubby’s mom’s house. All the kids (or spouses) bring a dish and “Granny” cooks the main course. Since there are 7 children (all but one was there) and spouses and all have kids, it gets pretty hectic.
Yesterday, the girls and I went looking for a dress for Colleen. After going all over a neighboring city, we finally found one…not on sale. Now remember, this wedding is on June 3, so we’ve been very limited in choices and colors. Rachel had to adjust her color choices. Lots of stress!
Throughout this entire time, I’ve had my new digital camera with me looking for unusual shots, even while we were shopping. Saturday, we walked up to a Lazy Daisy’s house to feed Spot, JJ and Lucy while they are away and I saw our neighborhood in a whole new way…from the camera’s point of view. I’m sharing some here.
An old store…
